Application

Gerema’s main interface is designed to allow for quick and accurate editing and mapping of spatial data. Users have the ability to View (non editable) data into the table of contents or Check-Out (editable) data.

Gerema’s editor has all of the standard editing tools. It also has processing tools which interact with other layers. Each of the editing and processing tools is monitored by Gerema to ensure that any operation will not cause the system to crash. If for any reason a feature cannot complete its task, it will be reported in the status window and the next feature will be processed. There is also an internal cleaning system that ensures that all new or modified features will not have any anomalies to further cause issues with editing. These new or edited features will also run through the operation rules to ensure data integrity for each feature. Users are able to create editable scratch layers to testing scenarios before making them permanent in storage.

Gerema has the ability to manage all of the map layouts for one data source in one session. There is no longer a need for each map document to be in a separate MXD file. Users can simply switch between layouts in the same environment.

Gerema allows users to setup Grids to display calculations on the data in real time to show how editing the layer will affect their overall target outcome. These Grids can use multiple data sources and types.
